This cemetery lists 16 applications, gathering 1,769,918 tweets and more than 1,004,819 followers, that would have bring to Twitter $605/month but will die and generate $0 because of the exorbitant pricing of the new Twitter API.

It's also 57 years of innovation killed in a month.

Twitter Archive Explorer

πŸͺ¦  ArchivExplorer's epitaph
Archive explorer was a collection of several open-source and free projects geared around extracting data from the Twitter archive. Gathered around a web application that had 10,000 users during its lifetime, it made it possible to search, filter, order and group tweets, favorites, direct messages, followers and followings in a few seconds, at a time when Twitter did not yet provide an interface to explore the data of their archives. A mass tweet deletion tool, combined with the power of search, allowed you to target and empty any part of your Twitter account of its inappropriate content, while keeping a part of its history. As of the date of this post, Archive Explorer has removed almost 1.6 million tweets.

Bot that was used to convert Twitter threads/conversations into videos that resembled those of the Ace Attorney videogames. Making Twitter conversations get to a new level o weirdness. This was in fact the second iteration of the bot, the first one got to 500k followers and used to make ~2000 videos per day.

Thanks a lot. This was by far the most successful project I've ever had. I clearly remember logging each day to check how much did the account grow overnight. How many of you were you thanking me for it, and checking a couple of the generated videos. Maybe I glued the code together and I set the server, but in reality it was you guys who really made this bot. Thanks β™₯

πŸͺ¦  colorize_bot's epitaph
Creating my own bot for Twitter was a really special experience for me. It was something that I had always wanted to do, and the fact that it ended up becoming popular and useful for the Twitter ecosystem was incredibly rewarding. Seeing people use my bot and enjoy the experience of transforming their black and white photos into color was such a thrill. Knowing that my bot was making a positive impact on the Twitter community, by adding value and increasing engagement on the platform, was really important to me. I wanted to create something that people would enjoy using and that would enhance their experience of using Twitter, and it feels amazing to have achieved that goal.
πŸ’Œ  Last kind words to our users
To all the users who have interacted with my bot on Twitter, I just want to say thank you. Your support and engagement have meant the world to me, and I'm so grateful to have been able to share my creation with you. Whether you used my bot once or a hundred times, I hope that it brought a little bit of joy and fun into your day. Creating this bot was a labor of love for me, and seeing people enjoy it was the ultimate reward.
